We know that applying for a new job is a big deal and we get that the assessment processes can be scary. But the best thing you can do is simple: be yourself and be honest. We’re not looking for a polished act; we’re looking for you.
Our values matter here. They guide everything we do. And just so you know, you don’t need football experience to belong.
Hints and Tips
There are two stages
Most of our recruitment has two parts. An online interview first, then if things click, an in-person assessment.
If you need support – tell us
We want you to feel comfortable so you can achieve your best. If you need adjustments or additional support during assessment, just let the Resourcing Team know.
Keep it clean and fair
We ask everyone to remove anything identifiable from their application. Photos, age, martial status, etc. Recruitment should be about your fit for the role, not anything else.
Show us what you can do
Line your application up with the essential and desirable criteria in the job description. Call out the big stuff – the numbers, the impact, the clear evidence of what you’ve done. That’s how you earn it.
Bring the right mindset
We’re grafting. We’re growing. It’s all hands on deck and you’ll thrive if you love problem solving and cracking on. Tell us why this club matters to you and what you’ll bring to the role. No hedging and no half-measures.
Expect values-based questions
Our assessment process shifts as the club evolves, but our values don’t. You’ll be asked for real examples where you’ve lived them before. There’s plenty online about values-based interviewing so it’s worth a look.
Show, don’t tell
You might be asked to complete a task linked to the role. It’s your chance to show us how you think and how you work. Don’t just tell us.
We take safeguarding and EDI seriously
Everyone here, no matter their role, helps make this a safe, inclusive place. We want people to feel like they can bring their full selves to work. You can expect to be asked about this in the context of the role.
FAQ’s
How do I apply?
Find a role that gets you excited and hit apply. Nice and simple.
Can I apply by CV or email?
All applications need to come through the link on our vacancies page. If something’s not working, or you’re stuck, drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll sort you out.
Should I include a photo or personal info?
No need. Keep personal details to a minimum (as mentioned above). We want to focus on what you can do, not personal data.
Can I get alerts for new jobs?
Yes. Scroll to the bottom of this page and sign up for job alerts so you never miss a chance to join us.
How do I know my application has been received?
You’ll get an automatic email to confirm it’s landed. If you don’t see it, have a check of your junk holder – sometimes good news hides in there. Add us to your safe-senders list to be sure you don’t miss anything.
Can I get feedback if I’m not shortlisted?
We’d love to, but with the number of applications we receive, it’s not possible at the early stage. If you make it to assessment though, we’ll happily give you feedback.

Accountable
We own the outcome.
We own the outcome. No excuses, no passengers. If we see it, we solve it – if not me, who? We give feedback with respect and purpose, and we receive feedback as the fuel we need to learn, innovate and win.
Integrity
We honour the badge.
Trust is earned every day, through honesty, respect and discipline. We do the right thing for our club, not always the easiest. We abide by the rules while playing to the limits, achieving our ambitions with integrity and pride.
