Newcastle United, the beating heart of the city, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Content to lead our content team. With a proud history and a vision for the future, we aim to connect with our passionate fan base worldwide through engaging, innovative, and high-quality content.

About the role

As the Head of Content, you will be responsible for developing and executing the club's content strategy across all platforms. This role requires a creative visionary with a strategic mindset, capable of delivering compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience in all corners of the globe.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary, talented team to produce engaging content that supports the Club in achieving its ambitious commercial objectives across retail, partnerships and venue, whilst growing our fanbase, both domestically and abroad.

We’re looking for a natural leader and collaborator, working with media partners, external content creators, agencies and partners to continually improve our content to reach and engage our passionate fanbase.

Your impact

You will be educated to degree level, in marketing or a related field with extensive experience in content creation and management, it would be great if this was within the sports industry, although not essential.

You will have significant experience in leadership and leading dynamic teams with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a natural storyteller, you will have a keen eye for detail and editorial skills along with being proficient in content creation tools and software.

About the team

You will work for our Director of Brand, Marketing and Digital Media, and work alongside the Head of Social, Head of Digital and Head of Brand and Marketing. You will work collaboratively with our partnership, retail and commercial venue teams.
