About the role
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Women’s Academy team. In this role, you will deliver best-practice medical and rehabilitation services to our Women’s Team Academy players, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and player welfare. You’ll play a key role in injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and return-to-play protocols, while contributing to the ongoing development of our medical department.
Your impact
You will have skills and experience in:
Delivering high-quality physiotherapy services in a professional sports environment
Designing and implementing evidence-based rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols
Providing pitch-side cover for training and match days
Maintaining accurate clinical records and injury profiling systems
Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to support player development
Using athlete monitoring systems and electronic medical records
Staying up to date with clinical innovations and CPD requirements
You’ll be a strong communicator, highly organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with female athletes and knowledge of menstrual tracking technology is desirable.
About the team
You will work within the Newcastle United Women’s Academy medical and performance team, collaborating with coaches, support staff, and external medical professionals to ensure a holistic and player-centred approach to care.

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
