About the role
We’re looking for an inspirational, experienced Coach to lead in the day-to-day management and development of the U21 squad and support their transition into first team football by enabling them to reach their full potential.
You’ll be responsible for delivering a coaching programme that reflects our Academy’s playing and coaching philosophies, aligning closely with the first team’s style. Working with key staff, you’ll lead the planning, delivery, and review of the U21 squad’s development, ensuring a high-performance environment that supports both team success and individual growth.
You’ll manage all aspects of the U21 games programme, oversee player progression through regular reviews, and contribute to succession planning from U16 to U21. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, monitor loan players, and ensure performance data is accurately recorded in line with EPPP standards. You’ll also support coach development through the Academy’s competency framework.
If you’re passionate about developing talent, leading with purpose, and making a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Your impact
You will be a qualified and passionate coach with a UEFA A Licence, FA Advanced Youth Award, and strong safeguarding and first aid credentials. You’ll bring experience working with players in the professional game, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a solid understanding of EPPP standards.
Confidence with Microsoft Office and Apple software is essential, and a full driving licence is preferred. It would be great if you also hold a UEFA Pro Licence, have mentoring or teaching experience, or are skilled in analysis tools like Sports Code but these are not essential.
