About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our high-performance team at NUW. This role plays a key part in supporting our players’ physical development and on-pitch performance in line with the Club’s vision and performance objectives. Working closely with coaches and our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a high-performance environment that empowers our players to thrive.

Your Impact

You will design, deliver, and evaluate evidence-informed Strength &Conditioning programmes that enhance individual and team performance in alignment with the NUW Performance Plan. In collaboration with medical staff, you will integrate Strength & Conditioning into rehabilitation and return to play pathways. You will contribute to the creation and execution of player monitoring including load management, wellness and neuromuscular testing. You will lead on physical profiling and implementing and adapt training based on data-driven insights. Communication is vital to provide ongoing feedback to players and staff to support the physical preparation of the players. In addition, you will attend all first team fixtures, (home and away) Pre-season tours, internal and external events supporting performance delivery.

 Qualifications and Experience

 It is essential you have BSc (or equivalent) in Sports Science or Strength and Conditioning. You must have Accredited S&C certification (e.g., UKSCA, NSCA, ASCA) or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working within a multidisciplinary high performance team. It is essential you have proven ability to design and deliver effective, evidence-based physical development performance. In addition to this you will be proficient in MS Office and online programme design tools coupled with strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
