We’re looking for a coach who backs their ideas, brings energy to every session and cares deeply about helping young players take the final step towards first‑team football. The Role
You’ll work alongside the Lead U21 Player Development Coach to deliver our playing and coaching philosophy every day.
You’ll be hands-on with player development plans, match prep, reviews and data, while working closely with colleagues across the Academy to keep every player moving forward.
This is a role where your voice matters and your work is seen — on the training pitch, behind the scenes and in the players we help progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver our Academy and Club playing philosophy with the Lead U21 Coach
- Plan, deliver and review coaching programmes with multidisciplinary staff
- Support team prep, match planning and squad selections
- Lead on player reviews and development tracking (monthly and six‑weekly)
- Keep accurate training, match and player data in line with EPPP
- Work closely with the U18 Lead Coach, Loan Player Coordinator and wider Academy teams
- Champion safeguarding, welfare, equality and best practice in everything you do
What You’ll Need
- Experience coaching players within the professional game
- Strong communication, presentation and listening skills
- Knowledge of EPPP and audit processes
- Clear understanding of welfare, safeguarding and equality
- Confident with Microsoft Office and Apple software
- Full driving licence (preferably clean)
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
- FA Advanced Coaching Licence (UEFA A)
- FA Advanced Youth Award
- FA Safeguarding Certificate
- FA Basic First Aid for Sport
- FA Licensed Coaches Club membership
