About the role
We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive Executive Assistant to support our Player Recruitment Team. Working primarily with the Head of Recruitment and with other staff, processes, working groups and protocols within the recruitment department, this is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of elite football, helping shape the future of our club by enabling world-class recruitment operations.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for our player Recruitment Team, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
From managing diaries and coordinating travel to preparing presentations and handling communications, you’ll play a key part in keeping our recruitment efforts sharp and efficient—both here in the UK and across the globe.
You’ll be trusted with confidential information, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and help prepare for high-level meetings, including those with the Board. You’ll also be instrumental in keeping our records accurate, our reporting on point, and our systems up to date.
Your impact
We’re after someone with solid experience supporting senior leaders—ideally in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. You’ll need to be politically and culturally aware, with a collaborative and empathetic approach to communication. Organisation is your superpower, and you’re confident juggling complex schedules and priorities.
You’ll be tech-savvy, comfortable with both Microsoft and Apple software, and able to produce high-quality presentations. Flexibility is key, you’ll be calm under pressure, open to travel, and happy to work outside standard hours when needed.
Experience in elite sport or football operations is a bonus, as is knowledge of match scheduling or data protection legislation.
You will possess A-levels, Excel Level 3 and a project management qualification or equivalent.

Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 4 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
