About the role

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner (Policy and Compliance) to join our People and Talent Team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, supporting the development of our people managers across various teams and helping to build the compliance framework across our People and Talent function.

 

The HR Business Partner – Policy and Compliance, will be key in supporting People Managers to understand and apply organisational policies and processes effectively. Your role will focus on developing and implementing compliance initiatives, managing key HR policies and processes, and enhancing the compliance capabilities of People Managers. You will work closely with the HR Manager and wider HR team to ensure that the right tools and training are available to support line managers, contributing to a high-performance work environment. This role will also involve facilitating collaboration between the People and Talent teams to support wellbeing and DBS compliance. A strong background in employee relations (ER) will be essential as you guide and advise on complex cases, ensuring compliance while fostering a fair and supportive workplace

 

Utilising a coaching approach to support our People Managers to ensure they have the tools, training, and guidance to navigate HR compliance effectively the role will also focus on the review and development of all HR compliance processes. This is a busy role, and you will need to hit the ground running, making a tangible difference from day one.

 

Your impact

 

A strong understanding of HR compliance, employee relations, and employment law gained at Business Partner level are essential to ensure best practices are embedded across the organisation.

 

You will have significant experience of Policy development and delivery, underpinned by a coaching approach when supporting People Managers through difficult HR processes to ensuring a fair and compliant outcome. As such, a coaching qualification / training would be highly desirable.

 

It is critical that you are comfortable to work independently when required, along with the ability to pro-actively manage multiple conflicting deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

Location

 

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
