About the role
To help us deliver on our ambitious plans we have a fantastic opportunity for a experienced Performance Analyst to join our new Academy at Newcastle United Women. At NUW Academy, you’ll not only be part of a great team but also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of women’s football.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with NUW Academy coaches to produce and deliver tailored video and data analysis for Individual Development Plans (IDPs), ensuring alignment with technical and tactical development targets for each
- Develop engaging analysis content for players identified as ‘emerging talent,’ supporting their journey to excellence.
- Utilise video and data insights to deliver detailed opposition and post-match reports, influencing coaching strategies and training session designs.
- Lead the filming of daily training sessions, creating actionable video analysis content to assist coaches in delivering impactful training and match preparation.
- Oversee live match-day processes to relay real-time video and data insights to coaches, enhancing team and player performance.
- Use cutting-edge player review systems like Hudl to enable academy players to self-assess and advance their development.
- Attend NUW Academy matches, including home, away, and pre-season trips, as a vital part of the team.
- Ensure video and statistical databases are up-to-date, secure, and accessible, preserving historical and seasonal content for coaching needs.
Your impact
A undergraduate degree within a sports discipline and preferably a UEFA C coaching license or higher. You will be confident in using Hudl Sportcode with excellent technical and practical knowledge of football. With high levels of attention to detail, you will produce a high quality of work and able to work calm under pressure to meet
tight deadlines.
About the team
You will work collaboratively with all other departments within the Academy as well as the wider People and Talent directorate. You will also develop close relationships with players and parents of the Academy and other key stakeholders such as the Premier League.
