About the role

 

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continuing transformation of Newcastle United Women by providing leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of the club’s football operations for Newcastle United Women. This will be achieved by developing the team’s DNA, establishing clear principles for style of play, player attributes, and team culture to build and sustain a strong talent pipeline.

 

This will be achieved by delivering a comprehensive football plan that aligns with the club’s vision and ambitions the Director of Football will establish and implement the football philosophy, foster player development, and ensure the club’s competitiveness at all levels. Defining and implementing the women’s team’s overarching football philosophy in collaboration with the Sporting Director and Newcastle United Women’s Management Committee the role will shape the strategic development of all football operations to ensure stability, consistency, and continuity across all departments.

 

Your impact

 

Acting as a role model for our values and valued behaviours, you will lead your team to do the same and appropriately challenging behaviours that do not align to our values.

 

You will have extensive experience in a senior football leadership role, with a proven track record of success in managing football operations in a high performance environment alongside a strong understanding of women’s football, player development pathways, and competitive structures.

 

As such you will have in-depth knowledge of football regulations, transfer markets, and talent identification aligned with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

 

You will hold a degree in a relevant subject (sports management or related field) or equivalent experience. A post graduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. MsC Sports Directorship/Master of Sports Directorship) would be desirable but not essential.

 

About the team

 

The Team have secured back-to-back promotions last term after winning the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division title and are committed to progressing to the very highest echelons of the game.

 

Location

 

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne therefore, please note, if you are not located in the Northeast, or unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
