About the role

We’re looking for a passionate equality, diversity and inclusion advocate to support the Club in ensuring that we have safe, inclusive and accessible facilities for our diverse supporter groups. We are committed to ensuring all of our fans fans have a brilliant match day experience and this role will be critical in improving and maintaining that.

Acting as a ‘champion’ for our diverse fan groups you will ensure that the Premier League’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standards are at the forefront of decision making.

Playing a critical role not only on match day, as the first point of contact and escalation for EDI related queries on home match days and other events, the role will also be responsible for working collaboratively with internal departments and external partners (police and external agencies) in relation to investigations into allegations of discrimination, ensuring appropriate records are maintained and key themes identified.

Supporting the EDI Lead, you will ensure the application of  the Premier League’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion standard and the club’s strategic approach to delivery of the Fan Engagement Standard by developing internal club policies and procedures and delivering associated communication and training.

Your impact

You will be a passionate advocate for people with diverse needs with an extensive understanding of the practical application of the 2010 Equality Act, with recent formal Disability Awareness Training.

You will have extensive knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults with a in depth understanding of, and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and how they relate to the role of the EDI Partner and the wider EDI Club strategy.

Operational experience connected to major events and knowledge of football stadiums would be highly desirable, as would experience of working with football supporters.

Match day working will be a critical element of this role.

Joining our growing and friendly People and Talent Team, you will report in to our EDI Lead.
