Newcastle United Women’s Football is seeking a Hybrid Scout Youth (Part-Time) to support the identification and assessment of academy and emerging youth talent (U12–U21) across the UK and the Premier Growth Academy (PGA).
About the role
As a Hybrid Youth Scout, you’ll play a key role in spotting and assessing emerging talent (U12–U21) across the UK and within the Premier Growth Academy (PGA). Working in a hybrid model, you’ll combine video scouting with targeted live match attendance to help build a sustainable pathway of homegrown players ready to progress into the Women’s Super League.
Key Responsibilities:
Scout youth players via video and live matches across the UK and PGA.
Evaluate players against technical, tactical, physical, and psychological benchmarks.
Produce structured scouting reports with clear recommendations.
Maintain and update watchlists of promising youth talent.
Collaborate with the Head of Youth Recruitment and Senior Scout to align with academy goals.
Present findings in recruitment meetings and contribute to a joined-up scouting system.
Monitor youth development trends and maintain strong relationships with grassroots clubs and academies.
Your impact:
Experience in youth scouting, coaching, or player development.
Strong understanding of youth growth and development stages.
Familiarity with video scouting platforms (e.g., Wyscout, Hudl).
Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
A collaborative mindset aligned with our long-term youth strategy.
Desirable Qualifications
FA Talent ID Level 2
FA Youth Award or UEFA C/B Licence

This is a part-time role with flexible hours, operating primarily through video scouting with occasional live match attendance.
