The role
In this pivotal role, you will design, deliver and continuously improve our compensation and benefits offering to ensure we attract, retain and develop the very best talent. You will work closely with C‑Suite leaders, Directors and People & Talent colleagues to create a future‑focused reward framework that is competitive, compliant and aligned to our Club’s strategic priorities.
You will also play a key role in strengthening our governance, optimising financial controls, and enhancing recognition and wellbeing approaches that support our ambition to be an employer of choice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a modern, innovative Total Reward Strategy, working directly with the CPO, CFO, FD and Sporting Director.
- Design a competency‑based pay framework linked to performance and progression pathways.
- Conduct industry and market benchmarking to ensure we remain competitive and informed on best practice.
- Strengthen our approach to recognition, including non‑financial reward, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
- Manage the Club’s new benchmarking provider and ensure reward policies are relevant and fit for purpose.
- Establish a clear annual reward cycle and communication plan for reward updates and processes.
- Build strong relationships with benefits providers to ensure high‑quality service and value for money.
- Partner with People Services and Payroll on benefits administration, compliance and audits.
- Lead preparation for the NURC Remuneration Committee, presenting insights and recommendations.
- Develop robust reward analytics to inform workforce planning, labour forecasting and retention strategies.
- Work closely with HR, Resourcing, L&D, Safeguarding, Wellbeing and EDI SMEs to deliver a best‑in‑class

- CIPD Level 5 and 7
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insight
Desirable
- Professional Certification in Total Rewards Management
- Project Management experience
