Social Media Creator

Permanent

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Competitive Salary

We are the heartbeat of the city and one of the most exciting football clubs in the world, with an ever-growing, global fanbase. We're looking for a creative, driven, and dynamic Social Media Creator to join our team and help elevate the Club's social video output. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of how we engage with our fans across social media and video platforms.

The role

Bring the noise. Capture the moment. Grow the game.

Are you obsessed with short‑form video, trends and football culture? We’re looking for a Social Media Creator to shape how Newcastle United shows up on TikTok, Reels and Shorts—every single day. You’ll ideate, shoot and edit standout social video; jump on trends fast; and create original series with players, fans, legends and presenters. On matchdays, you’ll capture the atmosphere home and away from a true creator’s perspective.

What you’ll do

Create fresh, platform‑specific social video daily—from concept to shoot to edit.

Lead the charge on TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts with original, social‑first ideas.

Plan, shoot and deliver electric matchday content that puts fans in the moment.

Test new formats and react to trends across football, sport and entertainment.

Help report on performance to fuel audience growth and smarter decisions.

Champion best‑in‑class mobile/social video across the club and with partners.

What you’ll bring (Essential)

2+ years working on high‑profile social platforms.

Proven ability to plan and independently manage your workload.

Expert phone‑first shooting; top‑tier editing with music, sounds and GFX.

Confident reading and reporting on social analytics.

A creative‑first mindset with a track record of successful social video.

Comfortable on‑camera or in voice-over when the creative calls for it.

Experience with scheduling tools and platform back‑end functions.

Professional football experience and a passion for the industry.

Editing in Final Cut or Adobe Premiere.

Qualifications & Training

Essential: Degree (or equivalent) in journalism, marketing/digital, social media or related.

Desirable: NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Social Media & Digital Marketing.
